The article is so incredibly naïve and chock full of sweeping generalizations it’s hard to know where to begin. But let’s take this statement:

One reason white men make easy targets over here is because they’re so damn visible. All of the Asian exploiters, who make up the majority, are invisible to an interloper like her, someone who probably couldn’t tell a Korean from a Filipino.
As we know all too well, the sexpat comes to Phnom Penh to take advantage of an exploitation system already well established by the local patriarchy. So what about this structural inequality baked into the system by the morally bankrupt Cambodian “elite”? The actual root cause driving poor Khmer women into prostitution? Does it even get a mention? No. Much easier to point a fickle feminist finger at the old white man bugbear.

I've holidayed in Jamaica 3 times in 20 years. On each occasion, stereotypes have raised themselves. The funniest I ever encountered was a Canadian couple. He was a cigarette sales person in North America, she was a stay-at-home mother. They had two kids (not on the holiday with them). She got drunk one night, and decided to tell her husband that he just wasn't doing it for her. (In front of the the group of approx. 20 expats around the table.) Dude says, "go knock yourself out, baby". In the space of less than 30 minutes, seems she did... With the very tall barman. Cue pandemonium. Glad we had the apartment on the beach front. Didn't have to listen to that one going off for the next 4 hours. Breakfast was a quiet affair.

Very sad post, clearly by some person with a chip on their shoulder.

And why the child sex photo on a tuk-tuk? The OP considers white men as child rapists? I wonder how many Khmer men rape children in Cambodia? And were the underage brothels ariginally in Cambodia for Vietnamese soldiers and then when they left the Khmer men took over the brothels?

I remember many years ago the main underage sex tourists in Cambodia were in fact South Korean men and Japanese men, but it was the white man who were the tip of the ice-burg were and also the easy targets for the NGOs to catch.
