Who to believe on getting into Cambodia and QT

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. whats not doable is the visa at the moment. at least for USA .. repeating myself but when speaking w Cambodian embassy in D.C. they said to reach out again in 1 or 2 weeks
I totally missed that point. Picked up somewhere that the visa restrictions had been lifted but obviously not. Will just have to keep an eye on that side of it.

Cambodia's land and sea borders are still closed to entry of foreigners, but you can still fly in to PP if you meet the requirements below....

Must have a valid multi entry/exit Visa EOS, A-type (Diplomatic) or B-type (Official) Visa.

If not in possession of MEEV EOS, then you need to apply for Visa in Advance from a Cambodian Embassy or consulate. T-type (Tourist) Visas are not being issued. Justification required for Visa type being applied for.

No Visa exempt entry, no visas on arrival, no e-Visas (electronic Tourist Visa).

Must have medical report and negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72hrs of flight departure. (Foreigners only)

Must have medical insurance coverage of USD$50,000. (Foreigners only)

All arriving passengers will go to a reception center for a Coronavirus (COVID - 19) test and stay there until the result comes out. If one or more passengers are tested positive, the other passengers will be placed in a 14-day quarantine at a designated facility. If everyone is tested negative, they will be allowed for a 14-day quarantine at their residence/accommodation and they will be tested again on the 13th day of quarantine.

Even if you are able to get a flight and have all the required supporting documentation, there is no guarantee that you will be permitted to board the flight or enter Cambodian Territory.

Hopefully the Government will publish further updates soon, whether that update is a relaxation of the current restrictions or just another extension is anyone's guess.
Nice one. Worth it for me if and when tourist visas become available.

October or November seems a good time to start up tourism again, in time for high season. Before then people who really need to get there, e.g. people with wives and children in Cambodia will jump through their hoops including quarantine if needs be.

People that just want to go there won't bother because they will not want it that much, especially if they have a safe and comfortable place to hang out.

Some countries are opening now and many will follow in the next few months and provide a good opportunity to cure itchy feet and see somewhere new.
Yeah I hope there is a relaxation soon. Cambodia seems to be moving faster than Thailand. I think the consensus is that Thailand is likely to be open at some point in October but it's all guesswork.
