Where can you see Santa in Phnom Penh?
Where can you see Santa in Phnom Penh?
I think this is the last Christmas of credulous wonder for my 6yr old, so I'd like to take her to see an event involving a Santa appearance. Himawari do a Christmas eve thing, but it's $65 per head, which I could just about stomach if it came with drinks (it doesnt). Are there any more reasonably priced opportunities to see Santa here?

Some of the other big hotels that do Xmas an Xmas eve buffets have Santas. Sunway does a pretty good Christmas buffet, and they've always had a Santa. Can't remember the cost, but it's less than $65, maybe a bit more than half that.

I hope your kid understands unless you have a house with a chimney , he wont be coming. He doesn't ring doorbells.

The Cambodian Santas have gotten better over the years. I remember taking my kid to see Santa at the Cambodiana back in the early '00s when they were kind of rare here. The Santa was clearly some clueless guy from the kitchen staff that they put in a Santa suit and told to give presents to the kids. He entered the room quietly, and started handing out presents as unobtrusively as possible. The kids saw him and ran to him calling "Santa!" He rcoiled in fear and embarrassment, giving out presents to kids in terrified silence, gingerly handing them like pieces of radioactive material being doled out to lepers. Things have gotten better since. The Santa at Sunway last year did the whole jolly "ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas" thing like a pro.
