That may as well be, but the real smart guys are the exchanges
Maybe CEO should have its own BitCoin/cryptocurrency exchange for people in Cambodia who need to convert cash.

And now, 17 days later, bitcoin just hit $4600
(At the start of this year they could be had for just under $1000) *sigh*

I am still confused about why you need a place inCambodia to buy crypto currency? As bitcoin are not a physical thing. I thought it was all done online, you find a site that sells them, pay by card or bank transfer and then you get the "code"? which goes into your wallet?
Why does it matter where you are?

As far as I know, that's correct. Not sure about the bank transfer bit. Wads of cash to hide maybe?tightenupvolume1 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 10:46 pm I am still confused about why you need a place inCambodia to buy crypto currency? As bitcoin are not a physical thing. Trouble is getting money into a bank that does that from Cambodia without paying a fee, though I think there are one or two banks that will give you a visa debit card here. Not sure of the conditions for the account though. I just have a savings account here.
You can always mine them on free mobile phone apps. The one I looked at, if run with a macro, could give you over $400 p year run 24/7. That 400 could easily turn into 800 or even 1600. Not bad for a 50 dollar phone. Why not buy 10 of them.
See crook!!!

Basically, yes. Except that you probably wouldn't go to one of those people. Most likely you would send money via Wing (money transfer).tightenupvolume1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2017 10:30 pm SO, if i wanted to buy a bitcoin (i don,t). There is a lot of convenience by using Wing, plus their fee amounts to peanuts (can't remember how many peanuts).
We (in Cambodia) can also transfer money via bank transfer to one of the Exchanges where you have a wallet. But then you're hit with bank transfer fees, and the possibility of your banking details getting misused.

Re: Where can I buy Bitcoin in Phnom Penh, Cambodia?
So in theory anybody anywhere in the world can send a bank transfer to anybody anywhere in the world in order to buy a bitcoin? Which takes me back to my original question, why does somebody want to know where to buy bitcoin in cambodia?
I am still confused
