Where can I buy Bitcoin in Phnom Penh, Cambodia?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

True, but the only post that can be "tricky" is getting your physical cash into BitCoin, as you need to turn a hard currency into a digital, cryptocurrency.

Just recoverong after the segwit and the Chinese exchanges reversing their no output to fiat currency rules. More people are getting interested seeing as you don't have to wait so long for transactions to go through now etc. It was supposed to be stabilizing again. Just waiting for the next news to make everyone para again.
Recent figures indicate that 98% of all bitcoin trading is in China.

Not tricky, expensive. I doubt if the NBC will be offering Kcoins at a better percentage, but lets see.
I presume they will allow banks and other traders here to sell them. Maybe they will set up a government run exchange?

Considering you will probably have ALL the money you paid for the service of converting it into bottom for you back within a day plus probably a lot more, I don't see how you consider it expensive.

Trying turning the USD in your hands right now into Canadian dollars and tell me what percentage you end up paying. :thumb:

And then tell me what it's worth tomorrow. If a couple of extra dollars for a transaction fee over what you "think" is a fair price to exchange them at is preventing you from investing in a currency that's practically doubling every few weeks is the reason you don't get some, then you either suck at math or simply shouldn't invest in anything period, LoL.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's super high risk to horde Bitcoins, or any other cryptocurrency, but if that's what's holding you back, I find that logically flawed no matter what you think the currency will do.

That may as well be, but the real smart guys are the exchanges. There are newer and juicier fruit around. That extra 3 - 500 on a coin could mature into quite a packet. I would have brough a coin but im a lazy bastard. I probably won't even buy the one's I should be buying either. Blockchains are going to rule the future in a lot more ways than just cryptocurrency. It's a fascinating subject.

Haha, no argument there, for sure. "The house always wins."

Maybe CEO should have its own BitCoin/cryptocurrency exchange for people in Cambodia who need to convert cash. :assasin:

Why not? Sell 12 coins, get 1 free! Special rates for Karma over 100. That should liven the place up.
