Lend money cautiously to locals. Stay away from one man personal loans. Stick with big organizations, credit card companies, unions, government offices. Never borrow from criminal lenders, especially not in Cambodia. Stay away from commies, who think you owe them something for ripping them off. They are stupid.

Personally, no I haven't ever had any of those, but that's not really what I meant. The thread is about scammers - I assumed that meant people who scam from individuals rather than organisations.
And it's not a rule set in stone. I'm not that tight. If a friend was in dire need of help because of a one-off, completely unforeseen circumstance, of course I'd help. But I know, and have known far too many people who are in desperate need just because they're very bad with money management (to put it mildly). It's those people that will always get a no from me.

Overall that would be a lot of Americans, but you still use their software in a broad sense. Part of the American debt. comes from the Chinese who buy bonds in dollars to finance their industrial expansion. And thus be able to offer the iPhone assembly at a reduced price. In this case, please tell me who owes what to whom and for how long.

Does every thread here have to turn into a US - Chinese stand-off discussion ?If you want to talk about the US and China, there are many, MANY other threads on the same topic.
(I'm not even sure what exactly defines Cambodian ex-pat deadbeats, but for sure, it's got nothing to do with US-Chinese politics.)
If you are interested in US-Chinese relations, that's cool, but I feel like any random topic on the forum is now getting taken over by the forces of for and against US and China.
