What do you do when you get pissed off with the locals?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

In my book that doesn't even register anymore, and hasn't done for years.

there's probably been other times, maybe someone trying to rip me off or something, but nothing dramatic enough to report about
Not really looking for stories about what got you pissed off. I'm more interested in how you dealt with the feelings it gave you.
im a very laid back person, where most things just go over my head, im easily pleased and not easily bothered about things, i just get on with it, i think its one reason why i feel so comfortable here, and why i feel so at home in sihanoukville, my mum says that if i was any more laid back id fall over...

ive got a very high line, im not the kind of person that gets in to arguments or fights easy, especially ones in public, im not a fan of confrontations, i will just stand there and take it all in, but if said person pushes it above said line then theyve already gone past the point of no return and things will get messy, thats why i have my bar so high, and with being a boxer i need to, as most of the time its not even worth it... im very tolerant, but only up until a point, i dont see the point in standing there and wasting your time having an argument, or talking about getting into a fight with someone, if someones pissed me off that much to warrant getting a slap, then its always fully deserved, its all about respect, you can have an altercation with someone in a respectful way, but anyone who disrespects someone, espeshially in public, then thats out of order...

for me its all about respect

This lady at the atm, looks like she's finished, as she notices the barang, she decides to continue standing there, for some reason she is putting the card in again and again, getting one slip after another. Her kids are pulling in her to leave, but she just stands there continuously doing her business. I find a seat to patiently sit down and wait for her to finish. A family with a tall Chinese looking male enters and as she sees him, she finishes up and leaves. The Chinese male thinks it's his turn. I cut him off, he looks at me like I am a monster or something.

You are a monster to him. That's the story hes been brought up with. Your the boogie-man to him.

More importantly, did you notice her talking to the machine whilst she was doing her business?

He didn't notice her talking, but he was really pissed when he found she had emptied the atm. :hattip:

She already got her cash, but she decided on getting some sort of receipt, she had about ten of them in her hand when she left me with the mess of sociocultural inconsequence.

Anyway, I am just gonna walk around the block and try again later from now on, and avoid waiting in line, I am probably real scary looking to your average local here.
