What will you do if you get Covid?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Not sure about the availability, but you might want to get one of those blood oxygen level testers, as I've heard of at least one friend who had that and rushed to the hospital when their levels dipped (which from my understanding is when it really turns serious).
That is the pulse oximeter that I mentioned in the OP, and subsequently.
The big pharmacies on Sihanouk sell them, about $30.
Yes, happy hypoxia is a big risk with Covid, i.e. your oxygen levels have dropped but you don't know it.

ie eg Somebody else enthusiastically joins in with the advice of a DR Something - which you endorse with a rep point - all good.
Except he is in fact a retired nurse.
g
is it not misleading to say DR something was a nurse and not mention he spent the bulk of he career teaching nurses :beer1:
NO. Not at all and may i suggest if you think that you have rocks in your head.
Misrepresenting yourself as a doctor is criminal. Misrepresenting somebody else as a doctor is gross negligence.

Calling this out carries no need for a reference about your "doctor's" other qualifications.

But yeah, i'll take up the offer of a beer, and offer one to Arm too - this is all really touchy stuff and i have seen some good relationships destroyed by this whole debate.
All of the opinions have some validity, both sides make pertinent points. Cheers.

I'm recovering from Covid, it's hideous.
I was vaxxed twice (Sinovac) and thought i was being very careful, but clearly not careful enough.

Thankfully I had no problems breathing but the exhaustion is tough, especially if you can't take time off work.

Did you do your singing performance with a mask on? Hope you recover quickly.

Stay at home for 10 days and cease all contact. My whole family had it and it was a mild flu/heavy cold. It depends entirely on your age/health/weight but if you're under 85, that's a good start. Worrying about getting it is probably far worse than having it in most cases. Not to minimise the effects that a miniscule portion of people who get it suffer, but generally it is not too bad at all.

I wonder if the families who have lost one of their family members would agree with you, to date there are over 5.17 million lost their life to the virus.

A very great oddity.... Reporting system changed months back, as did testing data..... result...Sudden drop in covid in Cambodia. But, death figures can't be manipulated. Cambodia still has the daily deaths of around number 7 each day, but somehow, infection rate dropped from 1000 daily to under 70.. who do we believe ?

Good luck Roz.

Over the last couple of months, various provinces first stopped reporting Covid case numbers, and later announced they wouldn't report death numbers either. Voila! No more Covid. It's a miracle. Daily case figures didn't drop from 1300 to 300 overnight back then for no reason.
