What Was Your FIRST POST on CEO/Khmer440.com Expat Forums?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Funny thread. Got banned many times over there and all my posts were deleted for totally unknown reasons. Strange people. Never made it above 3 posts or so. On this forum everything works out perfectly but then again you people know how to behave.

Khmer440 back in its peak was very cool and posters were more genuine. It also helped to relieve the stress sitting in the computer lab days and nights in my final year.

Never having been on a forum before and having followed 440 for a while without posting to get the flavour, I can't exactly remember what my first post was but I do remember checking/re-checking it time and time again to make sure there was absolutely no way I was leaving myself open for newbie attack before finally hitting the send button. I kept revisiting the thread nervously waiting to see whether anyone had started on me. I survived unharmed :D

I did start my first thread quickly after that genuinely asking why there appeared to be very few women on the forum and it ran for a good number of pages of discussion which made me more comfortable about posting more regularly. Nothing's changed on that issue and by coincidence the inability to attract female posters due to the at times hostile/physical appearance slant of posters was raised again by Gavin/Scobienz yesterday.
