Edit: I should admit there was one guy on another forum that I would have cheerfully harmed, fortunately his barstool buddies did him a solid and helped him understand that PP is a small place.

Great idea Mr Chops. I am finally returning to Cambodia later this month after 4 months away and it would be great to meet up with a few posters over a beer and some scam.

Two people worked tirelessly to put CEO together and recently due to external financial reasons have had to leave the Kingdom for a while. Recently joined by a third.

This is OUR forum and we can work together to help shape its future

I agree OD is upfront and not a keyboard warrior type. Nor did he abuse his position, as in past incarnations of forums. He and GM were instrumental in changing the forum scene by forcing the sale to more fair minded people/ person or whatever happened.

Thank you both for the acknowledgment/gratitude of what we've done here! ! Obviously none of this would have been possible without all our members too, so thanks to everyone.

Seriously though, we have done something that many thought impossible. It would be funny to read some of the messages I got from various people wishing us luck, but at the same time saying we had a suicidal snowball's chance on Koh Rong to pull it off at all. Yet here we all are.

Not to brag, but we clearly forced the old owner of K440 out of the scene completely and definitely gave/give K440 a run for their money. So, we forced a change of ownership and have had a huge influence on major changes over there.

Competition definitely forces any organization to better themselves, so like CEO or not, EVERYONE should be thankful we do what we do.

Hopefully we all go down in Cambodia expat history for changing the game when it comes to online discussion forums, LoL.

I especially like that we aim for as little censorship as possible and we make damn sure we don't abuse our "power."

A LOT has happened in 6 months and I can only hope we continue on this path! !

GMAC/OD. I think you've done a great job and I'm very glad you had the balls to to it.

For what its worth, I browse both forums and I agree that K440 has definitely improved since Idi Amin left. They certainly have some interesting threads and some excellent discussion points but as soon as one starts up it seems the usual bickering and nastiness reappears. Yes, its getting better but its still there and that’s why I feel much more comfortable posting my garbage and utter nonsense here, not there.

That said, they probably don't want me there anyway!

I can't think of any meals that wouldn't benefit from some bacon.

And I've already been over to one dinner party that had more wine than we could finish. He must make them in big oil barrels our something.
