Cheers. The name of that place would be cool if anyone knows.

That place he's at on otres is shit. Really poor service and overpriced food. I miss his English breakfasts. :(

I think it has a name that is related to California, but I can't quite remember. I'm here this weekend so I'll get back to you with it later if no one else chimes in.

OC restaurant Otres. Worse steak I've ever had in my life and $21. It was Dave's night off and the service was sh*t.

Yeah, when Dave is there it's great, and he makes sure you're well taken care of. Not much of a fan of their steak for sure, but their smoked salmon fettuccine in a lemon cream sauce (like $7 i think) is probably my favorite western meal in Cambodia.

They make a decent mojito as well, and have pretty choice beach lounges/amenities as well. Hot water shower with soaps for washing off after a swim, free towels, etc.

On the night of my wedding anniversary he stayed open a little late for us to come in and have a later dinner with the place to ourselves, arranged for flowers on the table, etc. All top notch.

When he, or the khmer manager, aren't there it's for sure hit or miss service though.

She did. LJ couldn't take his eyes off her.
But I don't think she noticed him at all...

We ran up a huge bill at OC at water festival, a group of maybe 10 of us with drinks and food. Even with computerized tills they cocked the bill up royally, and it took an age to get it sorted. There was also a Khmer private party in the function room, and they got absolutely hammered! Nothing wrong with that. But when they all started to pass out drunk and spew, the urinals were full of vomit . It stayed that way for a couple of hours. What with that level of attention to detail, and broken showers, and really inflated food prices, I'd sooner head to Queenco or even 'Friends Forever'. Not to mention some of the smaller places with decent atmospheres, food and prices. It seemed OC is trying to be upmarket, but fails with the basics.
