What can't you get hold of in Cambodia that you wish you could???

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Decent quality tools, fittings, components etc. Something like Screwfix back in the UK.
Also car parts that aren't Vietnamese or Chinese shit.
Computer hardware that's not a year out of date. Plus some sort of selection.
Furniture. See car parts.

I have a long list.
Even if they did bake a decent pie they would fill it with mayonaise instead of cheese or fill it with pigs offal instead of mince , Yummy khmer food (gagging expression here).

I dunno bout car parts or tools but furniture is expensive, i saw one barang in SR was trying to sell a stained sofa with holes in it for a few hundred dollars.
Is it that time of your trip again Trapper where Cambodia is a shit hole and your moving away to make big bucks?
Nah im just over risky food is all, being sick in a third world country definatly isnt much fun.

The good news - you can get decent pies in Phnom Penh.
The bad news - you couldn't afford them as they cost more than pot noodles.

Not sure if it would benefit the local population straight away. But if one taught a local to grow top genetics, weed out the males, harvest at the right time and dry the stuff properly, top profit would ensue.
There have been quite a few people who have done that already. If you had come here around 2009 or so, you would have smoked some good weed and at very affordable prices. About $8 a bag stuffed full of heads. Or even top notch stuff for around $3 or 4 per gram. Unfortunately, as soon as the foreigners backs were turned (prison etc) they seem to have gone back to their old ways. Joe was also saying that the Chinese were/ are growing a lot of hemp here now and the genetics were mixing with the smokables and f'ing it all up.

What makes you think there are chemicals in the beer? Apart from Ganzberg that is.
The taste? I would assume that Angkor has three prominent chemicals, whilst Anchor has only two. It's as if you drink them so quickly that you don't leave them enough time to get warm and flavorsome.

Street food and beer are not two of Cambodia's strong points.
