Westerners caught drinking

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Westerners caught drinking

Post by atst »

Why is it we don't see reports of westerners being caught in nightclubs, ktvs or having drinking parties?
Are we mainly a bunch of law abiding citizens doing the right thing and hoping this pandemic will not get us, or just a bunch of old farts who don't party so much and don't take the risk of being caught and having to pay or maybe we just haven't been caught yet who knows?
Whatever it is, keep it up guy's and gal's. :beer3:

I have been in Thailand a few times during national holydays when drinking was not allowed. Everytime I met up with friends at a closed up bars/ restaurants and enjoyed some alcohol whit no music and loud noises. We even had a few police officers join in.

I think it is all about being discret......

My money on the second hypothesis ^^.
The average age of death for expats in Cambodia seems to be around 47.
The average age of life for expats on both forums seems to be above retirement, 'even more these days.

Perhaps the darknet might be better place for this sensitive open discussion.
