Western women / Khmer man relationships

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I'll put my head above the parapet here and say that while there are plenty of western men that do it, settling domestic disputes with violence is more common in south east Asia than, say, Holland, or maybe Norway.

(Think I was oblique enough to get away with that one).

Perhaps. But that's how people often act.

I have met a few wf/km couples, one of which have had the unofficial province wedding ceremony, and one couple who were married in Belgium but returned to Cambodia to continue living here and are attempting to marry officially here also. In all cases, the couples are about the same age, neither are financially wealthy (no sugar mummas/toy boys) and all seem very happy and in love.

Made me laugh. Definitely agree with the first part, no idea on the later.

 I'm pretty sure that was never part of the topic thus far, but it is a topic seemingly of great concern to you.

Yikes! My bad. I was just pissed off seeing a western man earlier tonight with a Khmer girl seemingly 4 times younger than his age.
