I Google's Wikipedia for symptoms and found this;

"Chronic exposure to arsenic is related to[clarification needed] vitamin A deficiency, which is related to heart disease and night blindness.[11]

Inorganic arsenites (arsenic(III)) in drinking water have a much higher acute toxicity than organic arsenates (arsenic(V)).[12] The acute minimal lethal dose of arsenic in adults is estimated to be 70 to 200 mg or 1 mg/kg/day.[13)

I suggest you goggle the same and others for more
details. I feel sorry for them no matter what the cause. It was of interest to me since our well has been extremely low, but so far no visible symptoms. I wish them a speedy recovery and lots of rainfall.

Thanks very much Ruralvoice ('RV') --- it is somewhat concerning, I will look into it some more - I speak to a doctor here next week, I truly hope no one else gets this, anyone you know - or others - it is truly disturbing seeing someone you know having a fit in front of you, and you don't know why.....

There are things you can do i.e. roll them onto their side etc. but - I am looking for the cause, I don't know what it is, have a few ideas in my head, that is all....

Interesting to note, inorganic arsenites are more toxic by what you say? I refuse to drink the water until I know exactly... have everyone tested....mmmmmm

Test the well? - yes - by looking at the map - clearly I should have it (the well) tested - southern middle red area..... thanks

I will get onto it..... if people are doing that (getting ill etc.), livestock passing away, clearly it is a worry....

I encourage others to test their wells as well, especially in light of the drought etc. I will pass this info on straight away.....
