Was your education relevant?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

What you learning in school does not have direct relevance but indirect of subliminal. So, the subjects could easily be changed to allow more useful subjects but also retain the development or social, thinking, analytical and communication skills, to name but a few.

For example, without these skills misunderstandings can take place. Recently, while helping out into the kitchen, I was asked to peal half the potatoes and put them in a pan of cold water on the stove. A simple enough task?

I will stay out of the kitchen in future!

Love to see a psychiatric analysis of how this belief came into being, if you'll forgive the pun.

Don't various militaries still insist on circumcision for desert warfare?

My education was reasonably relevant in that the only thing I was any good at and enjoyed was the numeracy side of things. Did Accountancy at "O" level and went on to a really practical degree which exempted me from half my professional exams which is just as well as I'd have hated to do all that study while trying to do my first job as well. Just wanted the bare minimum of exams out of the way as early as possible so I could use my spare time doing the things that really count, playing sport, watching football and drinking beer. :beer3: ( easy on the Accountant jokes Vlad ) :D
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.
