Howdy

Following up from my wanting to buy a BBQ thread ---- I went to a few suggested stores and they only had 'grill types' in a compact form factor which wouldn't suit my needs.

So some research later and I have decided on a micro/convection/grill oven as they are similar prices, offer more potential for use & will remain inside.

I have been to Aeon, K-Top & all the shops around Central Market and found a limited range and have my eyes on about 3 models (all with inverter technology) that range from $200-$500. The cost is OK cos they last a long time and I can always take it with me if I move.

Therefore the question is ..... where can I find other big shops that sell these things ? Searching the web for this sort of info is very unrewarding in Cambodia.

Went trolling down MST today and came out of one shop and saw another across the road that looked big and lots of branding of makers on the walls. Got a helpful English speaking lady who took me to see Akira / SSung/ Panasonic models. Saw one that I had seen in KTop in Sorya Mall that I quite fancied and had read up on the night before and the price, after both stores discount, was $90 cheaper in Sunsimexco !!!! And free delivery and setup within 45 mins to my house as well.

Now it turns out the shop does have a website but 8 pages of googling "buy panasonic microwave phnom penh" got 1 hit from the prolific tv shop guy on KH24 - no mention of Sunsimexco at all !!!!!

Don't these people know how to optimise their websites ? The site itself is pretty high standard and the prices are listed (I seem to have got a 20% discount in store from the web price) but surely yhey are selling themselves short by not making their presence notable ?

Anyways ... off to Kandal market to buy and then test a roast chicken :cheers2:
