Walking the Riverside

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Thought I might resurrect this old thread rather than start a new one.

I've started going for walks in the morning as well as the evenings Usually head out sometime between 6 or 7 am.

This morning was a bit later, anyway, I hit the riverside and was heading north and I spotted a guy lying on the wall with about 6 loaves of bread next to him. They were "Fresco" loaves, same as I've been buying for a few years. What struck me as strange was that this kinda homeless looking Khmer dude, sleeping rough had all these loaves of bread with him, and he was using two of them for a pillow!

Made me laugh inside a little and it got me thinking that he must have got them out of a rubbish bin. I'm guessing that they discard the unsold stuff?

Just another one of those weird things I've seen walking along there.
