Vung Tau

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The Red Parrot story is played out nightly in many bars in Vung Tau. Also the other trick they love to pull is to get you to buy a lady drink. Take one sip and head over to another new customer that just walked in. Add to the misery the poor punter must endure is the Lady Drink Price List. They run 2 or 3 lady drink prices. If you don't ask how much is the ladydrink you can get hit with a 200,000 dong bill per drink.

If you really want a heart stopper. Go to Galang Bar and get quoted 9 lady drinks minimum before a girl can leave.

Don't even think about asking a girl how much she wants to move in with you. Very likely be more than a Bank Manager gets a month salary. Thats only the money for their pocket. They then they want you to cover aĺl their expenses and dreams!!!

One girl working in a bar told me she likes to show new customers around Vung Tau. I asked " Where you take them?".

Girl replied, " Honda motorbike showroom in Ba Cu Street!!".

Yet, she came back, uninvited, and asked to stay and asked for more money. He said no bloody way. Viet girls have absolutely no shame after ripping you off. The latter statement includes info from other related tales of shameless badgering.

A girl at Red Parrot told another friend she wanted 4 million to go with him. He's not an old codger. In fact, he's a very decent looking, youngish guy. She would not budge, still living in the Oil and Gas Age. Once he figuratively picked himself off the floor, he declined. And she never spoke to him or even acknowledged him again.

After my nearly 2 years in VN, with some gaps, I won't have anything to do with them. Or Vietnam.
So, in other words the same as girls from: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos...
I would have agreed with that a couple of years ago but Viet girls are a whole other level of mercenary.
Yes , True that Vietnamese are hardened and cold when you need something from them....

Khmers becoming similar to viets, Old hags at mickey bar now quoting 60$USD for ST.
