Visa changes?

As said above. Nothing's changed when you arrive in Cambodia - ask for ordinary visa $35. That's good for one month.

After that you sort out if you need a work visa or not. If you don't plan to work, ATM it's fine to get a ER retirement visa no matter what age you are or whether you are retired. No questions and no papers asked.
If you get a EB business visa, then you might have to also eventually get a work permit (even if you are not working) - this was the advice from the agency when getting a visa extension this year. EDIT: sorry, last year now.

If you want to work, other posters here should have better advice than me, but you'll have one month to decide about that when you get here.

OK

So you get into Cambodia with the $35 one month visa, but want to extend it for 3 months. As a tourist, do you do a business or retirement one? What are the differences and prices, anyone?

^^ As I understand it, you pay $35 for a 'Ordinary' visa. You are not a tourist. You can then extend your Ordinary visa. (Ordinary used to be called Business visa).

if ur over 50 or so ask for the ordinary visa ( $35) and than get the ER ( retirement extension- so far no requirements or financial proof ) and u dont need deal with work permits or fines if they crack down
of course IF ur going to work get the Business extension EB
Both; 3,6, 12 month extensions, i have heard, are the same price.

Its funny cos they seem to offer 2 visas, a $30 one and a 35$ one, according to the other thread?? So if i want i can extend it 3 extra months like i did 10 years ago in Snookie, or with Capitol Tour? I don't care if its a Business visa or what, just as long as it costs not too much, and how much will it cost? Ideas?

The $30 one is a tourist visa, valid for 30 days and only extendable once for a further 30 days. The $35 is the E-class ordinary visa that can be extended up to 12 months at a time.

That's great to know. Thanks. I remember when it was 20/25 ?Dollars, ok so it's gone up a bit. No doubt so has the price to xtend it as well....

I suppose one could get $30 one, then xtend 1 month, then do a trip to Vietnam, Laos, etc. and repeat? or are there silly conditions like only once in 12 months?

Probably better to get a multiple entry one? Then again luckily Lao now do visas on arrival, but if i remember the ones in Vietnam have to be kinda 'pre arranged'.

Sorry 2 many questions.

I was told by Anna Travel in SHV, you have to be 60 to get a retirement. Then seeing FB posts that folk under 45 actually getting one.

I don't think there is any truth... yet.

They have divided the E-ordinary visa into all these sub categories... but have yet to announce any qualifications for any of them. Until then, it seems you can pick whichever one you want.

As TDAW says, for the moment you can pick which extension you want. Ana Travel is the only place that I've heard is posing conditions for a ER, so try somewhere else. I know at least 3 people under 60 who got a ER with reputable travel agencies, no questions asked, so I'm really sure about this.
This is the current situation (or the current 'truth', lol), which will probably change sometime, but there's no point trying to guess the future conditions in advance.
