If it is not a set up, then how fucking stupid can you get  it's as plain as plain can be. Let's face it, only a Khmer wouldn't know who was in the wrong.

Like in most accidents, both drivers are partly to blame. They should just make the white guy pay half the damage to the bike and half the medical bills.
I think you may mean double.

About 40 seconds into the video you see the freshy boy dart off down the street. What did he do, go get a police officer?

Probably to hide what ever he had in his pockets, maybe this is his thing driving around looking for cars to fall off his bike in front of, i wouldn't be surprised there is so many dishonest people about these days

But, without a shadow of doubt, it's ALWAYS the barang's fault. Just ask the first copper on site. An elephant call fall from an airplane and land on a moto - the first barang to arrive on the scene on/in a vehicle is to blame, according to Khmer society.
Absolutely untrue in our case.
A moto ran a red light and hit us.
Khmer friends conducted the negotiations on our behalf and our repairs were covered 100%.

Good to hear from the driver, he doesnt mention insurance cover. If he doesnt have any get some before next time and drive more defensively.

Off all the se asian countries i have driven in ( Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore & Cambodia)
Cambodia is the worst ( in the cities), If u leave a gap ( 10 ft/10 miles/hour) it will be taken up with motos, tuk tuks, cars so u cant keep a safe distance ever. Not to mention the number of cars/motos turning from the wrong lane
Driving in the countryside, u just keep ur eyes open and moving but traffic is far lighter
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

This is a very good point - most regular posters know my big Chinese tuktuk, if I leave any sort of gap in front, there is enough space on either side of the front wheel for at least two motos to jump in, often causing a jam for which I am then to blame. I've come to really enjoy the "sifting sands" challenge of driving in Phnom Penh, it's like playing a video game (and I often have to remind myself it's not one) and watching the creative ways people can foul things up never gets old.
