A Very Sad Expat Story in Kampot - BUT with Happy Ending

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

She is the one making posts in the name of that guy called Tom.

Before with all of his shit a friend of mine called it out asking why a american were writing in such poor english, as a khmer infact. 1 second later Chara was spam calling his phone asking were he live so they could have a talk together, at 2am. Why not just publicly say that she is helping the old man write because he is not good at computers or something? No, she had to do it the drama way and loose face.

She is stil making posts with that account and then replying to them with her personal. Talking to herself in other words.

However the posts from this new husband is NOT made in the same poor way so it could actually be him even if she is telling him what to say.
A native English speaking American writing "the man not like that. you like the baby dog." ?

I beg to differ.
I agree with you now when i read that post a little more carefully. She have improved since the last time i saw her doing that tho. Experience i guess :)

So, she won the war and kept the land?

Why do people put land in other peoples names?

A fool and his money are easily parted.

That Chara is a mental case though!

That would rip my guts to bits. I do not let sleeping dogs lie. I am even stupid enough to let the bar staff know I know they ripped me off. Before that, I order drinks to the amount in question, in readiness for battle.

That is small fry though so, with the sort of money in question, at worst, I would have plotted a plot plot, with huge debt owing, and she would cop the lot.

This Joseph seems like he might be a nice guy. Naive - not a fault, more of a disability - trusting (I wish I could be. God knows I give chances. That's why I end up having to get what's owed me back, with my plan B, or escape route. It is very refreshing when it works out though, and the tip is a very generous encouragement to continue the good work), and maybe a little immature, or young (play stations aren't for everyone).

Hopefully, the victim isn't reading this, doesn't help kicking a guy when he's down and, the only reason "it's all about me" is that, from my experience, I have to ask, Why the hell would ya?!

One note on my predicaments, they know I am always right* - most of the time I expect the outcome, of which they are possible aware (OWTAPA). I think I unconsciously even set it up (OWTAPA), with the fantasy of restored faith in local honesty - and eventually a friendship is re-established, often the next day, dependant on how lost their face is and the chances of getting mine cut off, because I make a point of going back and ringing the fuckin' bell.

So, I'm not going to ask why he didn't have an exit plan - 101 with any venture - I just hope there is a big fucking lesson in this thread for the heir successor to his "throne" : The word "flush" is ambiguous.

*Read: Correct in the argument, but so wrong in being there in the first place.

This sure is quite the tale. This Kampot Chara lady seems to have the talent to snare and wealth strip multiple barangs, through their own stupidity or other reasons, or a combination. certainly she is no classical khmer beauty so I gotta wonder what's the catch ? what gives? this Joe Boyd had the red flags from the beginning why not run for the hills, or at leastBokor Mountain instead of sticking around? I hope the new guy is the last guy as he seems like a nice guy and experienced some heartache, hope he doesn't get any more.

Some woman posted this same screenshot on Chara's Facebook, and then she received these voice messages from her:

Hard to imagine she's not totally nuts. She certainly sounds like she's be the abusive one in any relationship, so I pity these unfortunate men getting involved with her.

Equally hard to imagine someone would get involved with her without being completely bonkers.

Although as they say; Crazy in the head, crazy in the bed :good:
