Verbal High Open Mic Comedy Friday April 3rd
The city's next instalment of established open mic comedy, Verbal High, will hit the stage at Meta House on Friday 3rd April. Explore the inner workings of the minds of some of the regions' finest comedians this month as they try out their latest new material. There's prizes to be won as well as laughs to be had. As if all that wasn't enough, get to feel good about yourself knowing your entrance fee of $1 goes towards charity!
Each show has a unique crowd participation section should you wish to flex those funny bones: participants who can create the best jokes based around the randomly generated theme of the evening will win prizes donated by our sponsors including bottles of Kombucha Brewing Co. Phnom Penh, Cambodia and a pair of all-day inclusive tickets from The Flicks Community Movie Houses.
Please note that seating spaces are limited in number. Arrive early to guarantee a seat—arrive late for standing-room only! Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 8.30pm.
Should you wish to perform a stand-up set at this upcoming show or any of our future shows then please contact us to arrange booking a slot, details of which can be found at http://www.verbal-high.com
Verbal High is proudly brought to you by our sponsors:
Kambutea Brewing Co.
A locally produced, natural brewed, probiotic health beverage containing beneficial nutrients known to boost and maintain the body's immune system. Comes in many flavours and tastes great, too.
The Flicks.
Phnom Penh's favourite independent movie house continues its support of the Cambodian comedy scene. As well as the showing of contemporary cinema releases, The Flicks also bust out retrospective classics and all the latest episodes of popular TV series
EARS
One of Verbal High's favourite charities in Cambodia, EARS is an elephant foundation — based in Hong Kong — helping to educate the public in Cambodia and South-East Asia about the plight of the Asian elephant in the wild and the misuse and abuse of captive elephants used in tourism.
