Yes, they will give you change. They can refuse to handle pork as well. And some supermarkets don't use muslims on checkouts, to get round it.

What non muslim beliefs are contrary to the muslim method of slaughter? Other than, you know, vegetarians (a much more dangerous risk of 'take over' really).

And slaughter vs butcher are 2 very different things. Most slaughterhouses do VERY little butchering... putting it into some primal cuts at most. All it takes to make it halal is for a slaughter house to hire one muslim guy for killing the halal meat before it's all passed on to the butchers for processing.

Religions perpetuate themselves by invoking mystical practices. No pork for jews and arabs? Well, pork has trichinosis and in centuries past they didn't understand micro-biology, but realized that eating pork was killing off dues paying members, so "God, Allah" decreed that members of that religion could not eat an unclean animal like a pig. (who btw has trichinosis.) Why not just have God, Allah teach you have to cook pork thoroughly to get rid of the bad Juju, well scaring the member is all about power and control.

Now explain to me the rationality of Islam putting bags over women, or is that an explanation in itself?

My neighbor back in the states was Muslim. Iranian. He ran a good blue collar type restaurant. Best Chilli I've ever tasted was his. Who would have thought? Heh. Muslims are great people. Shit is marked Kosher for the Jews, who gives a shit if it is marked Halal for our Muslim friends? Not I.

I don't like the way animals are all slaughtered by halal Muslims or kosher Jews. For that reason I think I'll switch solely to pork.

Funny you say that. Many years ago in that same glorious city, after screwing a Russian (from Uzbekistan) hooker I offered her a drink in the downstairs bar the hotel. She had a Fanta. I asked why, she said because she was a Muslim so couldn't drink.
