Will you get the vaccine?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I’m more scared of long covid than of death.
MY daughter has long covid, tested positive in July
5 months on still suffers; fatigue, headaches, "brain fog", insomnia, occasional shortness of breath an other minor inconveniences
She worked as a Tech in a veterinarian hospital and cant return yet to work because of this.
Her Drs have no idea how to treat it or how long it will last

I will get it, hopefully by April, as it becomes available in Thailand ( at a price) BUT i dont think it will eliminate entirely the need for testing before travel and only wishing it eliminates the need for quarantine ( or for Cambodia makes them go back to only a few nights)

I also can see the need in the future for all expats, long term settlers in a strange land, that a covid vaccine will be necessary to renew extensions/visas
My grandmother had it . Was diagnosed last May. She's 73 yrs old. She was sick fir about two weeks. Same ailments as the flu. She is fine now and has been for months. Evidently your daughter has other health problems or just bad genes.

Excuse me a minute, I don't think that it's ok to make cracks about posters' families. I wouldn't comment on your grandmother. I know that PR has brought up the subject of his daughter, but there's no need to be unpleasant. :please:

Getting vaccinated and then getting covid and then feeling like absolute crap for months - must be long covid - ofc. What else could it
possibly be?

I've had loads of vaccines. I never caught COVID or Hepatitis or anything serious so they seem to work well.

I thought you complimented someone for stating it was something between health care professionals and themselves, and now you ask people to expose their health history?
Not very consistent, is it?

That’s your choice.

But if you get sick from COVID, please don’t come to any healthcare facility or pharmacy seeking treatment.

Pfizer admitted, in the Dutch parliament, that the vaccine does not stop transmission of the (alleged) virus.

It does not "stop the spread"
