A) No civil right should ever be taken away by a government. The right to defend yourself and your family is a basic civil right in America.

B) We in America didn't get down on our knees and let our government take away our civil right to keep and bear arms. (as was done in OZ most recently and in many other serf countries years ago.)

C) People who live in countries that have allowed their government/nanny-state to take away their civil rights can do nothing about our laws in America but belittle our way of life. (We are still the only number one superpower in the world and for a reason, even though we do need a little change in our government , but with the right to keep and bear arms that could happen where it cannot in other nanny-countries.)

SO, sit back and write/talk all you want about our "gun culture" in America, there's not Jack-Sh*t you can do about it and its served us well for many years since throwing the riff-raff out of our new country.

We are proud of our forefathers standing up at Lexington and Concord and throwing the tyrants out by force of GUNS! We even name Navy ships after the towns/places where the battles took place. USS Lexington, USS Cowpens, USS Valley Forge, USS Washington, USS Saratoga, USS John Paul Jones, USS Constitution, USS Yorktown, USS Ticonderoga, etc.

defending yourself is a civil right everywhere, i can use deadly force if i feel my life is under threat as well, only difference is the other guy is very unlikely to have a gun. you can stab or beat someone to death and walk free if its in self defence


and really you must have missed it when the whole of Eastern Europe changed their governments with the fall of communism, mostly peacefully - but do some reading on what happened in Romania - they hung their president. if the people want a revolution then it can and does happen

There's been more revolutions in so called serf nanny states that in north america recently. And youre the one that complains most of all about Amerikkka... militerised police, private prisons, cops shooting civilians at will. still waiting on the American revolution though, and will be for some time, despite all the guns

i do respect a lot of things about USA and that independent frontier mentality and i guess the gun thing is a big part of that. the federal system is more vital though, if any real dictator ever got into the white house they'd face too much opposition from the States, there'd be civil war. if you think some peoples militia with handguns and rifles could take on the Army your dreaming mate.

You may have read about America and watched the bought off media, but you truly don't understand America. Yes, just a few million Americans with guns is not going to take over the American Army, but a good portion of the American army has had it with the present government. When an army family has to use food stamps to eat it kind of piss's the grunts off. Also the grunts coming back from useless wars with arms/legs missing and/or their pride taken away doesn't help to support the present corrupt government either.

The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 (18USC 1385, at 20 stat.152) forbids the federal government from using the US military in domestic situations.(except the National Guard which is at the call of the states governors.) While this may or may not stop the corrupt US politicians from using the military against fellow citizens, it will have an effect on the soldiers manning the guns/buttons/tanks. I would say that every soldier above the rank of colonel will order to shoot fellow citizens, every officer/soldier below that rank will have second thoughts and every non-com, I'd guess 95% will not fire or will turn on the officers.

The federally militarized police forces on the other hand will shoot first, but they will be/are outnumbered and will run home to momma and the kids. The SWAT teams who have been brain washed will stand and fight, but as it stands today are outnumbered hundreds of thousands to one. I really don't know what's going to set this off, but understand its not a matter of IF, but WHEN. I just hope I live long enough to see it and help.

I would hope and pray for change without some form of insurrection. But the govt is running the tables full stop and blasting the public with scandal after scandal with no opposition in site. The GOP is wheeling out the people that the citizens do not want.

What makes me worried is that media, govt and academia is all onboard for redistribution of wealth on a much grander scale then what it is now. I'm not in favor of this by any means and very unamerican.
