That is where we differ. You think the number of Muslims who desire to impose Sharia law wherever they live and approve of the forced cover of female hair/skin (under threat of punishment) and forced prayer and fasting and severe punishment for "blasphemy" and separation of men from women and certain other extreme forced behaviors is limited to "a minority group of extremists" when it is most definitely not. Murderers and suicide bombers are in the fringe minority, sure, but there are other behaviors to be just as concerned about. Death is more preferable to me than forced subjugation.

If you haven't lived in a Muslim country, you don't know what it's like, and therefore can't comprehend what is in store for those who live in predominantly Muslim areas of non-Muslim countries as their numbers swell over time.

thing is, in most western countries that shit just can't fly. there's a ton of fear mongering over "they're trying to enforce Sharia law!"... as thought they ever really could in those nations. I personally have a strong desire to impose "OD Law" wherever I live... doesn't mean it's going to happen (other than in my house, and only so far as I can get by with there under regular laws of the country).

This fear that one day English parliament is somehow going to say "fuckit... new law. all you women have to cover your heads and shit." is just completely unrealistic. Aside from the massive legal hurdles they would have to leap over to even MAKE such a law without exceeding the powers bestowed upon them as lawmakers, they don't want that shit and aren't going to back it.

Also, you're still lumping them all together... not allmuslims believe in, nor support, sharia law. In fact in Lebanon only 29% of the muslims in that country support making it the law of the land... that's a pretty low number.

Some slums areas of France and parts of some English cities have fallen into that trap. "It'll never happen"...until it does. Wait until more and more Muslims start getting elected into local government. Stick your head in the sand all you want.

really, in what parts of those cities are white people forced to do so under sharia law with zero legal recourse from their government? How many hundreds of years have Christians been trying to inject their hocus pocus rules into government with little success? Now suddenly muslims are going to be able to do it? What was retracted by Fox was the quote that Birmingham was a no-go zone for non-Muslims. Of course the politicians from the UK and France will deny claims of no-go zones. They do exist. Have you ever lived in the South of France? This is not news to any French citizen.
