Typhoid

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Guess this answers the question about whether expats 'should' get vaccinated for typhoid then.

Certainly common in this country. What is the outcome regarding treatment, is she on a course of antibiotics?
Also FLB do they vaccinate here? If so, It might be worth thinking about her being vaccinated later, and then following booster vaccinations every 3 years.
Also worthwhile if you where to consider any more risks of infection with typhoid bacteria.
Hope she is well soon Frank.

Typhoid sucks man.

I caught it on return to sydney after my 1st trip to KoW.

Was living in a 12$ a night hostel living off crackers , bananas and mineral water for 2 weeks.

Probly caught it from aboung ak lakeside restaurant from contaminated water,Ice or just shitty food handling from uneducated locals.

I just googled off the back of your post. Recommendation is 2 years for some. I'm due a booster then. And way overdue with Hep A (no idea actually)
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.
