Re: Typhoid
Guess this answers the question about whether expats 'should' get vaccinated for typhoid then.

Certainly common in this country. What is the outcome regarding treatment, is she on a course of antibiotics?frank lee bent wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 12:05 am gf has been sick for about a week and finally went to the lab.

Also FLB do they vaccinate here? If so, It might be worth thinking about her being vaccinated later, and then following booster vaccinations every 3 years.
Also worthwhile if you where to consider any more risks of infection with typhoid bacteria.
Hope she is well soon Frank.

Re: Typhoid
Typhoid sucks man.
I caught it on return to sydney after my 1st trip to KoW.
Was living in a 12$ a night hostel living off crackers , bananas and mineral water for 2 weeks.
Probly caught it from aboung ak lakeside restaurant from contaminated water,Ice or just shitty food handling from uneducated locals.

I just googled off the back of your post. Recommendation is 2 years for some. I'm due a booster then. And way overdue with Hep A (no idea actually)AndyKK wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 7:39 amCertainly common in this country. Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.
