Trying to live off 1100USD a month in Cambodia?

Post by michael.stewart1 »

Is 1100 a month sufficient for a person to survive in Cambodia? Let's say the individual is 40, single, no health problems, like to spend all day playing PC games, likes to cook homemade meals, and the only time they talk to anyone is when they are at the supermarket buying food. let's say the individual never uses air conditioning, does not watch TV, does not drink and walks everywhere. Let's say this individual wants to live in Kompong Chnnang, Mondulkiri or Ratanakiri province.

I would say, lock that individual up before he can further endanger himself.

Yes, Pineapple is the man. He manages to survive on less than 3 Dollars a day in Thailand; I am sure he could give your "friend" some useful tips on sponging off others.

1200 is marginal for me, but my gf goes to hospital and doctor a lot due to asthma
1100 is probably ok if you are frugal, and single.
that is the average young tefler's whack.

In Cambodia, staying at a hotel, buying your meals and a few beers daily as well as motobike or tuk tuk fees and other daily expenses, you can do it on less than $800 a month. (pussy addictions will add to your expenses)
Having an apartment and doing your own cooking would obviously be less.

Many local families can survive very happy on less than $400 a month.

$1,100 a month is bit of a luxury life and sufficient to support a pussy addiction as well a meth habit.
Water quenches the thirst, alcohol releases the truth.

And if you get caught on meth and sent to prey sar $1100 will ensure you have a better life in there than most others.

Rent is more these days. Yes, it's still possible to pay what you pay, but for the convenience of living near to work premises a person is looking in the $250 to 300 range on average now (assuming not sharing).
