Translation help!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Translation help!

Post by Katherinahuynh »

Hi there,

My grandmother just passed away and I wanted to get a tattoo to memorialize her. One of her favorite things to blurt out/say was “choy mai.” I’m pretty sure it means mother f*cker. As offensive as it is, it was something that I will always remember about her. Anyways, I wanted it written in Khmer script but I can’t find it anywhere on google. Does anyone know what the translation in script would look like?

Thanks so much!

Highly recommended NOT to use it for a tat. it's not just a rude expression, it's considered an extremely rude expression.

Saying it in a joking way or permanently paint it to your body are two different things.

How about 'I love my family'? :stir:

How do you write the word ( or what word do you put into the google translate box ) to get the word “ barang “ to come out ?
And when ever I write the word “ fuck into a sentence it comes out translated except for that word which the translation looks awkward all in cambo except that word that just comes out as fuck 🤷🏽‍♂️

Very silly idea.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

I am getting tired of the voice message , I would rather type it out ( in this case ; copy:paste .
You could one of you kind hearts give me the words for “no joy no loy “ it’s been a word fora long time ,
I know i suggested it be a T-shirt but it never happened ,

So to any body educated in this translation , then , i will even say the word please . help

NO JOI ( however they spell it here ) No Loy or loi . Whatever .. I can read thai but this one language got me kicked out of school .
( my “ wife ‘ is illiterate .. so her method will not transcribe mature content .. ( for children and the feckless )

No joy , no Loy is my preference . :sign17: :tard:
