Toul Tompong pubs

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

If plans become reality (returning to Cambodia) and I find a place to live in TTP (what I can afford), expect me at the bar. (I should be back to search for a place in June.)

Regarding Quealey's: I like the bar, I like Jess, I like the customers, sat there 4 nights out of 7 end of last year, but man, is it ever uncomfortable to sit at a bar with no knee room. Don't replicate this.

a quick follow up-
real scarcity of rental properties in streets 123 and 456, rental prices closely approaching riverside.
one more prospect for tomorrow in ttp due to the diligence of a board members wife who has gone all out to try and help.

my survey shows the market probably overserviced, which would explain the paucity of rentals.

found a nice little house on the mekong side of chroy changqar on a large leafy block sandwiched in between a bunch of okhna properties though.

might have a bash at it there.

wood fired oven in the yard, rotisserie etc.

It was always the lack of head room that got me in there.

My new address, Mekong Street - for obvious reasons.
Across from Phnom Penh on the Mekong side of Chroy Changvar
Almost all the neighbours are genuinely mega rich- i mean like Lear jet rich;
and there is nowhere for them to eat or get an espresso within 5 km.
4 bedroom house on a large leafy block, should make a fine garden restaurant with room for about 500 chicken victims outback who will dispose of any scraps.
Now i need to find a brick oven builder.
There will even be 2 guest rooms for hire.

The perfect spot for a 6 / eleven shop.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
