Are you paying too much?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I used to pay 1000 R or so but have not bought any for a long time. My Khmer neighbor says she pays around 2000R

On a hungover morning a nice cold pineapple fresh from the fridge is great for the head.

But fuck eating them on pizza, nasty. I like it in stirfried dishes for flavour, but must be removed before eating,

Don't know about the other prices as I never buy fruit. It's never as tasty as it was 30 years ago, especially Cambodian fruit in general, but those Vietnamese prices are just stupid. They are the same price as or cheaper than here for sure, and probably a lot tastier.

No wonder you people (you know who you are) keep going on about pineapples, obviously haven't got a bleedin clue. Cor blimey! I don't even eat them and I know more about them than you. What the fuck does that say about you?

Good chap . That's the CEO spirit :thumb: Truth, not like somewhere else. You gotta watch them as they tend to push the lid off their box now and again. Perhaps we need a bigger brick?

While I would never dream of putting pineapple on pizza  , pineapple is good to cook with and is very common in Khmer soups such as Samlor Machu Trokurn and Samlor Machu with fish, chicken or pork, and also Samlor Khtis ( Fish Soup with Coconut Milk and Pineapple).

Or done as a stir fry with beef.
