ShopOwner Appeals to Drunks to Pay their $330 Bill

I'm guessing the girls were taking a sip of beer then discreetly chucking it away and starting another one. They get commission on the heavily marked up cases.

There's a lot to be said for sticking to bars where you are known and you trust the staff. You can have a fantastic night for $100 (not 8 girls but who needs more than 3?)
Not a big fan of KTV but I have been a few times. The place was ankle-deep in poured away beer every time.

$60 for a CASE of beer that cost less than $15
not bad mark up but not outrageous

Good point about the security. Local tuktuk drivers should be on duty for that.

But just because the guys were not tourists does not mean they were au fait with how those places work. There are plenty of naive locals. It could even be that the tuktuk drivers had sympathy for them.
