Balen Thuraisingham

Balen Thuraisingham passed away Saturday in Phnom Penh according to posts on his FB page. He was 79.

Balen was an attorney and active in the western business community here since 1996. He was one of the first people I met when I set up shop in PP in 2004-5. Balen helped put together the first Pub Owners Association -- with me and Doug from Mikey's and David from Gucci - when there weren't very many of us to wrangle to a meeting.

RIP.
