Khmer Road Fail
Can only be titled Khmer Road Fail.
Packed dirt road with a thin layer of asphalt on top.
The asphalt then slid away in the rain ... of course.
Who makes road designs like this?

Re: Khmer Road Fail
They get paid a certain rate to build roads. The less they spend, the more money they make. It looks good. They get paid. Then it falls apart.

This? They got the money to build a foundation, drainage, anchor points, the works. The profit margins must be huge, even when divided between the construction company and whoever signed the order.

Built-in obsolescence is also good for repeat business.
Re: Khmer Road Fail
I know of a road the Chinese financed, and Cambodians did the work. It was full of pot holes in less than a year. The next road they built, they brought in Chinese labour to do the work. The Cambodians complained, they should let Cambodians do the work.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 6:54 am Built-in obsolescence is also good for repeat business.
Do the wrong thing, and they may put a stop to it.
