Majors Cinema, I love you.

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Went to see Glass at Majors Cinema at Aeon Mall. Checked times on the internet first. Showed up at the right time for a ticket. Told not have this showing time. WTF?

I'm wondering the same. He should just get Facebook and share his daily little dramas with his friends.

While we're on the subject, what is it with people turning up to watch the movie 30 or 40 minutes after it's begun? Some say it's because they're with their boy/girlfriend and want somewhere 'quiet to go' but I often see large groups turning up, shining their phone torches all around the cinema to find their seats, laughing and chatting without a care in the world that people are trying to watch a movie (that is by now a third of the way through)?

It's nothing short of a travesty.

Where are you from NewKidOnTheBlock? I am assuming America because I saw a "shutdown" comment from you earlier (I am feeling your pain.)

Why wife and I have seen a few movies here. We usually go to TK Ave. My wife, who is Khmer, knows that usually you need to order ahead of time. There are plenty of great movie theaters that are not associated with Aeon. I asked her and she said you can order from the "legend cinemas" website ahead of time. I think that is what most people do.

NKOTB- when did you check the website? The day before? Coz I got caught out similarly. So now I go by the Legend app on my phone rather than their website and only check after they have updated it in the morning of the day I am planning to go.
