Convincing the parents

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

How lovely! It’s so wonderful to read your love story - your wife is a practical and smart woman!

She chose you, which I suspect is the smartest move she’s ever made.

All the best to you both sending lots of happy thoughts and good luck :)

Some parts of the wedding were well attended - apsara dance, hair cut, rice throwing, wedding dinner - I can get photos from Facebook. Other parts - no one attends and no pics on line. - announcement, monks, walking to the missus’ house. Will have wait to get the official photos. Maybe a while. Will check next month.

So please be patient.

That's great, we're all really glad to hear that you have moved on from being a gormless sap being ripped off by a Cambodian hooker to being a gormless sap about to be ridden dry by an innocent "nurse" whose "best friends" are "gay' and are already trying to extort her for money. People like yourself don't seem to understand anything except being kicked in the nuts. Good luck, you're going to need it. 8-)

Now focusing on honeymoon in Thailand.

Missus attended a wedding of one of her best friends. She is a city girl. Day one, ceremony was one hour long. By the time missus arrived, it was over. Day two, a few hours, then dinner. One outfit for the day, one more outfit for dinner.

Such a big difference between countryside extravaganza and city wedding.

Your marriage mileage may vary.

Will continue posting once have all the pictures.
Thanks for the interest.

It would seem your bride and her family failed to mention that a shorter, cheaper version is also available in the countryside. Strange that. :hattip:

Your wife should mention about cheap wedding celebration in countryside. Which only cost 200$-500$
What you need is a Pig’s head, two chicken, some fruits and some good for ancestors. And villager enjoy their rice wine with grill snake and hot fry frog.
