No ,,,, Not worth a mention.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Raffle's, formerly SOS, is the most reliable clinic here. Walk in service and Western doctors, they know what they're doing at least half of the time, and they will refer you elsewhere if they don't. Not worth risking your life to save $20.

It's also just stupid to spend $100 on a doctor when you can see an equivalently-qualified one for less than half the SOS price.
Aurora Clinic or Chenda Polyclinic are more than adequate
Bio-Med on Kampuchea Krom for cheap, same-day, emailed, blood and other test results

Why do you give me negative karma for mentioning public facts? Is it because you are friends with Dr. Gavin Scott who was sentenced to 2 years in prison in Cambodia for sexually assaulting five Cambodian teenage boys?

Personally, I go for the best healthcare my money can buy. You are of course free to go to a lesser or less expensive doctor. You could even go to a village witch doctor. Or save real money and don't go to any doctor at all.that genius wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 2:47 pm It's also just stupid to spend $100 on a doctor when you can see an equivalently-qualified one for less than half the SOS price.

Just remember that you can't take any saved money with you when you die.

If you go for the best healthcare around, you better leave the country now.dron wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 3:21 pmPersonally, I go for the best healthcare my money can buy. While Scott is an excellent GP, don't you think 70 USD for 10-15 minutes of his time is a bit expensive? I can consult a neurologist, urologist, ENT specialist of whichever specialist (not a GP) in Bangkok's most expensive hospitals for half to two-third of that amount.
Personally I think 70$ is over the top for a consult in PP.

Yup, glad to see someone gets the point.
Dr Julie whom I mentioned qualified in France and worked for the UN...$40
Reasonable, imo.

There's other sources making other statements, so publishing a single URL here doesn't tell the whole story. This happened in 1995, and even though in a lot of cases 'when there's smoke - there's a fire' we also know Cambodia's judicial system is far from flawless, and was even worse back then.fax wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 2:59 pmWhy do you give me negative karma for mentioning public facts? Re: Doctors in Phnom Penh.
I do. When I need medical care I go to Singapore. Luckily I've only had to do it once in several years of being here.
If I needed any sort of major care I would go to my home country that has the best healthcare money can buy.
In an immediate or minor local situation here I would go to Raffles.
Of course a lot of illnesses people get are just minor viral infections which the body solves on its own. There's no medical cure for a cold, the flu and many other common ailments. People don't want to hear that though, so they go to a doctor and waste money or go to a local pharmacy for a grab bag of 10+ medications.
