In another example of the culture clash in South East Asia between modern 'sexy' behavior and more culturally appropriate comportment, the Vietnamese public were shocked and horrified by photos and a video on social media showing Vietjet hostesses dressed in sexy gear on the Vietnam football team plane.


Vietnam's low-cost carrier Vietjet has apologized for sending sexy models to join the country's under-23 football team on a flight back home after they were criticized on social media for creating a "disgraceful public" surprise.

Vietjet arranged for the football players to be greeted and treated by hostesses wearing slinky garments and sexy bikinis for their return flight as a reward for their prowess on the football pitch. The public were not impressed.


Vietjet has apologized for sending the sexy girls to accompany the players on Sunday, saying it was a "wrong move" and not a well-thought-out marketing strategy. The company says "affiliated staff" has been disciplined.
