Too many people dying young
Too many people dying young

Thoughts?
I also think this should be discussed. Why are so many people dying young.
My thoughts:
Some deaths are no doubt drug related. It may be new drugs that may be more dangerous than people realize. It may be a combination of drugs, or drugs and alcohol. It may also be drugs contaminated with something else.
A small number of deaths may be due to food poisoning.
There may be more murders than people realize, or want to admit. I would like statistics on how many people had all of their money stolen when they died. Even better, how many people had their bank accounts emptied when they died.
Presenting a good image of Cambodia is part of their culture. If they know or suspect someone was murdered, they will often say they died from natural causes or committed suicide, to portray a good image of Cambodia. Unless there is evidence they can't avoid, such as witnesses, or video. If the truth came out about the number of murders in Asia, tourists would stay away.
What are other peoples thoughts?

Re: Too many people dying young
I have known over 100 westerners from Cambodia who have died over the years.
the causes include drugs, suicide, heart attacks, motorbike accidents, natural causes.
for the most part many have died from preventable causes but have been too stubborn to seek medical treatment or go home for the same and have died earlier than they needed too. only one was murdered from memory.

I think that fact that everyone dies of a ‘heart attack’ is more to do with lacking skills/laziness/incompetence rather than hiding something more sinister.
I would also say that, judging by your previous posts, you have a pretty dim view of the locals here so I am not surprised that you would jump to the worst conclusions

Re: Too many people dying young
I hardly know any of these people who have died over the past few years. When I lived here first a lot of people I knew from home and here seemed to be dropping off like flies. That was ten years or more ago or whatever, things have stabilized since. Nearly all these people dying are young tourists who don't realize their limitations or old guys already in an advanced state of disrepair.

You're not worth wasting breath on. Ignorant, xenophobic, racist, miserly and petty. Have you got any redeeming points?

A lot of the young deaths seem to be drug-related, whilst a lot of the older deaths are from drugs/drink
Very few murders from what I've read over the last 5-6 years that I've been reading Cambodia forums

OP, are you aiming for the 'husband of Khmer girlfriend of the foreigner' might be involved?
Before you were convinced Khmer girls tend to have husbands they leave once a foreigner steps in and a professional web of lies and deceit is created on a massive scale to lure the foreigner.
You think there's a relationship between too many people dying to young and your theory of deceit?

There are people who cannot imagine that there are other ways of life than their own life.
