is this the end of the building boom?
Re: is this the end of the building boom?
The clue to the location is in the original post. it is not remotely near any ladybars. A further clue. its is tower 2 of 3 apartment blocks and most definitely was not an hotel, unless you know hotels that have guaranteed buybacks and guaranteed rental incomes and allow you to buy the "rooms". There are 3 different sizes of apartments. I thibnk they are all 1 bedroom and they come with fully fitted kitchensArget wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 7:34 pm And usually in the near vicinity of the target for punters. So should be in walking distance of street 130 Street 51 or 104, not that I would know really !!!!!!!!! Its just what I have heard....someone said so... I heard someone talking on their phone outside church

Not a chance.
Although across the river has always been known for "honeymoon hotels" from the old days, like the Washington Hotel. So not a bad guess by area, but nah, not a chance.

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.
Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

Anyone. . . does the short-time rate include use of the pool? Asking for a friend TIA.
Re: is this the end of the building boom?
It says room only basis so probably not, but no security on the pool or gym so I doubt they would notice. There is a maintenance charge of I think 30cents a squre metre payable if you rent form an owner but if you rent from the management company its included.
Your getting close on the location. the name has Mekong in it and its tower 2
Re: is this the end of the building boom?
I've just called my friend and he tells me he's related all that to the moto guy but they still cannot find it. He's not too worried about the gym, but the pool does sound good. He also tells me that he's looked on a map and says the Mekong's a very long river, They're currently in a place called Ta Khmau asking around and he's curious, given that it's been a long ride, what a reasonable fare is for the round trip back to Street 51 and if there'd be a surcharge for the extra passenger? TIA.

Re: is this the end of the building boom?
I've just spoken to him again and he tells me they've found a place with "Mekong" in the name that the moto guy's recommended. It's not really a tower, more of a shop house with a few motos parked in the foyer. There doesn't seem to be a view of any river, although that is not a deal breaker. The moto guy's saying there is a pool however ". . . ïn the room, all room have!" Seems a bargain for $12, special rate the moto guy negotiated, including the use of the front desk safe for my friend's valuables.

Found it. The pictures are sweet but I would be concerned with crossing the bridge at odd hours. Never know when some enterprising meth head will want to hold your possessions...
Is there a life on that side or do you have to drive for everything?

Drive for everything.
But it's quiet, and safe.
Bridge is fine, in fact, guarded.
Just boring over there, some honeymoon joints, that's all.
