Things you don't often see, even in Cambodia
A taxi inched past us today while we were sitting in peak-hour traffic. It's roof-top LED display was flashing "HELP!"
We were so busy laughing we didn't even consider whether it could have been serious.

Re: Things you don't often see, even in Cambodia
The more I drive here the more I realise that. I'm starting to think the locals believe they have right of way as they scream out of a side street into your path, while on the phone, and while never looking. The few times I've reacted vocally they look very confused. Same for some of the luxury 4WD drivers, I give them to a third strike and then hang out of the tuktuk and glare at them, usually they seem genuinely surprised and drop back. I guess in a country where hardly anyone has a driver's license, how would they ever know about minor points like right-of-way, personal responsibility, not bullying others and so on?

in many cases you can get an idea of how much a country is fucked up just taking a look at the traffic and the way they drive and this is 100% true for cambodia.
the khmer would be a public danger even driving bicycles, it's like dealing with 12 yrs old kids, same brain !
