THIEVING EXPAT!!! (Or Tourist)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

THIEVING EXPAT!!! (Or Tourist)

Post by VLayHo-ho-ho »

The 7 Elephants Mini-Mart has a warning on its door just before any customer walks in:

It may not be clear as it was taken on my phone, but this Expat was caught on CCTV a month ago and hasn't been seen since.

7 Elephants is a mini-mart on the corner of Sothearos.

I'm glad they had the arrow otherwise I would have never worked out who they were talking about.

Yeah, he must be the guilty party. The big red arrow is pointed directly at him in all 3 photos. Removes all doubt.

The scene of the crime was around the corner from Le Duck restaurant. Where an employee was recently arrested for theft (as we are all aware).

If anyone has any information, please call: 666 or 118

Be on the look out for a shoplifting tourist? Meh. I couldn't be bothered to reach for my phone let alone get mixed up with the Cambodian police (or even the 666 fire brigade) over a shoplifter. Besides, I'm sure the Cambodian police are hot on this case, well ahead of anything we could do to track down this tourist, the local copshop a sparkling whirr of activity as the they work feverishly to solve this crime.

Is this your shop or something?

What vintage did he steal? That could be particularly important.

Cool down with digger. He needs solid evidence...even when bitches cleaned out his bank account, it needs to be caught on the spot...older news....nothing. Digger do what digger does best, ran back to the outback and shoot kangaroos for a living.

@LTO; My only affiliation with this particular department store is through buying cigarettes and coffee every other day.

@Peck; I think it was Whisky...which Khmer people all call wine for some reason.

@Everyone; Stealing is wrong. There are many situations in the World where the lowest or the unluckiest of us have to face the choice of stealing or not (we've seen the cartoons). But no matter where you are born, Stealing is universally known as wrong.
