We had pulled pork rolls (actually, it was chicken, but I digress) and I was discussing with friend how some millennials are now neither able to make a sandwich or are aware that doing so at home is a normal part of life, and that a sandwich is now called by many young'uns to be "DIY Subway". Frankly I'm surprised DIY Subways are not yet an amazing "life hack" that no-one knew about, but will change your life as you've been doing it wrong...
A few minutes later, Mrs Stroppy was explaining to one of our millennial tenants how to assemble her pulled pork roll (chicken, etc..) and the tenant responded with "Oh, it's like Subway at home!"
A few minutes later again, and the tenant was happily explaining to the visiting friend that we were having Subways for dinner. He just smiled at me knowingly.
tbh these millennials are definitely cant be from England,
the art of making a Sanger, Sarnie, Butty, Bap, Cob, Barm or Roll will never die out, its in our blood, even in Cambodia i eat Sangers every day, usually with cheese and onion and salad and mayo mmmmmm
fuck Subway!

naa i wouldnt have said that, like you, i am far too biased lolPSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2017 10:38 pm Jamie...unlike Jimmie, I have travelled the world, and can. Honestly say that NZ definitely does have the best meat pies...in fact, iirc even you made that same claim in another thread
P.S. Yes, I am biased, but growing up (mostly) in a country where school lunch every day was a mince n cheese pie purchased from the tuck shop has qualified me to be so.
P.S.S. I'm hungry...does pie man deliver to TTP?
but it was one of the main things i loved about Nz though was that i could buy Pies everywhere... (even a part of my Mcdonnalds meal!)
literally, as soon as i got off the plane,
and i was waiting for my bus to my cousins house in Whangarei,
i sat in the Auckland arrivals eating a freshly baked pie from a cafe (maybe you know it),
dont get me wrong, it was a great meat pie, a proper meat pie not the reheated service station steak and cheese sort,
was probably the best pie i had there, i can still remember it now,
tbh it doesnt matter where you are in the world, the best pies in the world are big home made pies, and it doesnt matter what country youre in,
you cant beat a home made pie, its down to the cook, not the country

The guy selling aussie pies is putting on a fake aussie accent, I have known people who put on fake italian accents when working in the local pizza but this is a first for pie sales.

Are you sure?
As we now know, all the best pies come from New Zealand, it might be a kiwi accent.

Is he selling round pies or square pies?
Come on Albert, eat it, just because it's round doesn't mean it's bad, everything is relative..
Mama..what did you say? Relative?
