The N word....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Drifter used the word "usually". Perhaps your sister is unusual !? (perhaps she is the black sheep of the family  ) It's indeed a very rare thing to see that a blacky goes together with a whitey and even rarer a blacky with an Asian.
and u and drifter know this how??
She is not unusual nor are his/her friends where black and white are equal
perhaps in the Mississippi its true

I had many black friends in hs an college ( was brought up in DC) and university in sf
never saw this

agree about the uk where everyone hates everyone that is not like them
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Simply by opening our eyes  .

But it's only fair to say that I do NOT know America very well. I think mixed couples are rare even in America and I know a lot of Americans that would "beat their daughters to death" if they dared to engage with a black man.

In Europe mixed couples (black/white) are basically unknown - yes, they do exist, but you hardly see them - it's really, really rare.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

That's racist. Anglophobe! :D

Were your black friends mixed race?

Here's two famous mixed race Brits having a twitter fight.

Historically in the US , down south ...you only had to have a drop of black blood to be consider black....especially in relation to marriage ...
the main reason for this was they had lots whites and did not to need mixed race ppl support...
In South Africa there were many different categories connected to race...they need help from the coloureds ..because they were not enough whites...
In the British Caribbean..if a mixed race peron had a child with a white the child was consider white...
So I think that's the reason some mixed race ppl accept their black side as they weren't classed as white or allowed to embrace the white side...and were remind quite often of the fact...

I hope not....
We will not allow the N word to be used in a hateful or racist way here. That's what KKK440 is for.

Freedom of speech on CEO does not include racism.

That said, discussing it like you are here is fine. We don't want to censor any discussions, but this is not a place to come and impress everyone with all the racial slurs you know.

I'm amazed that a man of your age can not tell the difference between a generalisation and an anecdote. Although your frequent lack of capitalisation does make we wonder if you are actually 7 years old.
