THE WATER PARK IS CLOSED!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

THE WATER PARK IS CLOSED!

Post by taabarang »

In fact it has been sold; that's what my wife and kids were told when they arrived there with towels and swimsuits in hand and enthusiasm out of hand. The big attraction for these kids(10 & 11) was the water slides, so it's back to the gravel pit and flooded areas around our farm in Kampong Cham. No further information! I will have to teach the kids good interrogation techniques such as asking follow-up questions. In any case it appears that it is permanently closed.

I am not sure if this topic is worthy to be in caps? Is it really that distressing?

Hell, they have no proper schools, they have no proper universities and no professors.....for what do they need a water park ?
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

That's a necessary side effect if you are an old Marxist.

"I am not sure if this topic is worthy to be in caps? Is it really that distressing?" Well it is for my kids, but I didn't realize that there is a hierarchy of values on general chatter which indicate that some topics should be in caps and others in lower case. Anyway, another university or school in this location would very unlikely improve the level of education in Cambodia.
Really what I want to know is who bought it and to "develop" what new money-making scheme? Kids having fun may not improve the country, but if my kids are happy, I don't care if they are politically correct. Old Marxists probably didn't have much of a happy childhood.

 Taabarang, it's actually irrelevant why they have closed......probably the Cambodian public couldn't afford the $ 25 entrance fee. If you want to have your kids having fun, give 'em a stick and tell them to beat up the rich, the wealthy and corrupt.....that's a lot of fun, is absolutely for free and a good political education.

My kids never paid that much. Since they went with my wife, I never asked, but I know her and our economic situation to know she would never cough up that kind of cash. As for "Caps on the internet generally means shouting." It doen't mean anything of the short, it means caps. Get a life Sparky!
