The small things appreciation thread

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Something I will remember for awhile.,,,,, I was walking along a park area and 3 [ village ] ladies were in deep discussion with each other, but their little 3-4 year old girl saw me coming. Hitting her mother on the leg, I heard her say,,, Ma, Ma, barang, Ma , ma , barang . They took no attention and kept talking to each other. As I passed the little girl she say's a hello, waving her hand ,,, puts her hand to her lips and sort of blows a kiss.
That really made my day.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Gee thanks!

I'd take R for rabbit or even "pseudo rabbit" over being shunned on this board for being "the rapist"!
"Pseudo rapist" sucks as well as "pseudo therapist". How about just changing the "R" in my username to
a lower case "r".

OT: kids that smile and wave. Going past a family on a motorbike and the kids waving at me. Waving back, yelling susaday.
A few years back, driving around the countryside there would be a wave and hello about every 2 minutes. Feels like being famous. :D
I guess seeing barangs on motorbikes is not so special anymore. :(

@Therapist - i've offered cash to get your name changed. Depends how much they want. Maybe we can do a crowdfunding thing.

You guys are relentless!

I will have cash USD, Cambodian riel, and 100 Thai baht as well as bacon and beer ready on my arrival in Phnom Penh. I will be waving said beer, bacon, and money in the air. If you are a CEO moderator, admin or member, please feel free to grab these items from my hand.

I will be the non-Khmer sweating in a suit and tie holding a Welsh longbow and quiver in front any bar this forum decides upon. After CEO members have partaken of said moneys, beer, and bacon I would like a better username.

If I am killed by the tuk tuk mafia please return said moneys, beer, and bacon to my grave. Defecation and urination on my grave are valid forms of returning agreed upon items.

Request granted.

As their was no amounts mentioned, I will assume the bribes of money, beer and bacon are a lifetime supply.

See you all in a few weeks.
