"The sky is falling!"

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Am I just jaded or does this seem ridiculous?
Wanting to know is a good thing but this does seem a foolish way of finding out.

Ridiculous is putting it mildly imo Giblet. What a bunch of bloody idiots. What do they think its going to achieve for them? Does any one know/understand the reasoning behind this? Are they hoping that by "beating them to the punch" they will get away with a cheaper payment?

Kind of apt that a poster called giblet posted a thread about the sky falling...

I would not be at all surprised to find out that this thread was encouraged on another err...forum...tsolely to boost hits, this scare happens at least once a year, then...nothing.

The more attention we give this BS, the more likely some Khmer is to notice it and make it official, rather than the work of some chancers trying their luck until told to stop it by higher-ups.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right? ;)
