The Price of Beer in Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

In order for the study to be relevant, you will need at least more than one night's expenditure. I propose that you make the same study, but break it up by different nights of the week. My guess is that you might see a pattern in the sharp rises, such as Friday nights and Saturday nights? I think this needs to be measured over a more sturdy control period of, say, minimum two weeks :beer1: :hattip:

Is it that of (maybe) catching up for lost time, with a return to the country not that long ago! Or has this drinking, eating, mongering habit been a continuation of a retirement plan. :beer3:
Always "hope" but never "expect".

This is a fairly constant pattern for a long while.
0-5 Low risk
6-8 medium risk
9-12 high risk
13+ train wreck

Earlier in the week is lower risk, end of week is increased risk, no through work commitments but more cultural habits of the weekend as being ok to getting off your tits.

I have been thinking of leaving home with just $5, but my credit is good where I go so that's no guarantee.

Leave home with $20 is better, we don't want to loose another poster getting arrested returning to a bar to pay the tab :thumb:

That's a good point. Plus, ABA E-Cash is always a source of funds. I think I'm doomed...

I'd have to drink that much, just to go to sleep on that bed spread. But doc, seriously a bit more practice, a couple more weeks with your flow charts, and you'll be a full blown alcoholic. It's great when someone reaches there goals. Well done, lucky bugger 👍🍻
